Dreamy white bedroom retreat

An attic space was converted to a master suite, allowing for a unique experience flow for the owners.  In this project the full spirit of our Scandifornian approach came to life, developing a space that is cool but clunky, clean but inviting.

The highlight of the space is the floor-to-ceiling, all-white scheme; with limited natural light, it was imperative to bounce around as much of the available light as possible.

Natural, clear-stained wood and black steel are utilized as architectural accents.  7-3/4" white-painted shiplap was applied to the walls within the bedroom portion of the space, and the original pine wood floor was painted white as well.

Abundant storage in natural maple within the corridor space allow for incredible amounts of storage, allowing the bedroom space to be free of storage-type furniture.

A gallery wall allows display of the owners' photography, which conveys the spirit of the design: rooted in California cool and the warmth of coastal nature.
